Ricky Carmichael could win his 100th overall AMA National Motocross event (combining his Motocross and Motocross Lites career record) this weekend at Budds Creek, Md. With just three AMA motocross events remaining in his career, Carmichael will likely reach this final goal.
What does 100 wins mean? It is an amazing number, and no one else is close to matching it in the history of AMA Motocross. Young phenom James Stewart, for instance, dominated the Motocross Lites division (then known as the 125 class) for years, but he still has less than 1/3 as many overall wins.
