French WSB Results

Honda’s James Toseland did the minimum necessary to win his second WSB championship in France today. Going into the final round with a seemingly comfortable 29 point lead in the series, Toseland escaped with the championship by just two points over Yamaha’s Noriyuki Haga. Haga dominated the French round by winning both races. The Race 1 podium was completed by Ducati’s Troy Bayliss in second and Troy Corser (Yamaha). Race 2 found Suzuki’s Max Biaggi finishing second while Fosi Nieto (Kawasaki) finished third.

Toseland finished seventh and sixth in the two races, and very nearly lost the championship in Race 1 when he was forced off the track during early scrimmaging. For additional details and points, visit the official WSB site here.
