AirAsia Caterham Moto Racing Team rider Josh Herrin will miss the Argentine GP having injured himself in an incident whilst training at home in Georgia, USA.
Josh was training on a Supermoto bike when the incident occurred and he was immediately taken to hospital where it was confirmed that he had broken his collarbone in two places and would need surgery to repair the damage.
He successfully underwent surgery on Monday 21st April at a hospital in California.
The team will not replace Josh for the Argentine GP and will run only Johann Zarco.
Josh Herrin:
“I was really excited to go to Argentina and I just want to say sorry to the team, sponsors and the fans that I won’t be there. I wish the team all the best and I can’t wait to see everyone again and get back on my bike soon.”
