An all new Honda CBR600RR is expected to be announced this Fall. Our European friends sent along this concept drawing (if you want to call it a “photochop”, that is alright with us). We will almost certainly see a new combined braking system on this model, because Honda has been openly testing it on the current CBR600RR (even allowing some riders outside the company to test it). Knowing Honda, and given the cutting-edge nature of the supersport category, I am sure there will be other new tricks on display, including, among others, an evolution of the electronic steering damper. Traction control? Selectable ignition maps? All subject to speculation, but we should all know fairly soon what Honda has to offer with its new 600.
A further reduction in weight is not necessary, because the CBR600RR is already the lightest bike in the category (by quite a margin).
