LOS ANGELES, CALIF (September 12, 2014) – Founders Gard Hollinger and Keanu Reeves are proud to introduce the custom-production KRGT-1, ARCH Motorcycle Company’s versatile, performance-oriented, American V-twin with the perfect balance of performance and design. Manufactured exclusively in ARCH’s Los Angeles area factory, the KRGT-1 will be built to order with an initial offering price of $78,000. Production will be limited, making ownership a coveted experience.
When Reeves approached Hollinger at his motorcycle shop (LA County Choprods) 7 years ago, he was in search of a custom sissy bar for his near-stock V-twin cruiser. What followed was the idea to build an athletic, retro-modern custom motorcycle. That custom motorcycle became the prototype that inspired the formation of the Arch Motorcycle Company.
Once the decision was made to bring their concept to the public, Hollinger committed to the lengthy process of vetting his design to meet even higher aesthetic, performance, production and reliability standards. This three-year quest allowed time to perfect the ARCH philosophy, “Connecting The Art and The Ride.”
The KRGT-1 represents the culmination of years of design and R&D focused on producing a category-defying American motorcycle with real world rideability to match the meticulous craftsmanship. Its streamlined retro-modern styling brings the contours of the past into the present. The bike showcases over 200 parts created at the Arch production facility, each bike requiring 300-plus machine-hours using state-of-the-art CNC and water-jet machinery. Dozens of other proprietary parts are supplied by premium vendor/partners who share the same demanding standards.
What started in 2007 as a simple request for a sissy bar has evolved into the launch of the KRGT-1, a true production model uniting refreshed style with modern performance technology. The KRGT-1 is Presence in Motion.

Nothing new here in my opinion. I would much prefer a custom by Mule regardless of the cost which begins in the low 20’s.

First, lets set this straight, these are not H-D Sportster based bikes. 78k yes expensive for most motorcyclist. Not out of reach for the high end customer, built on deposit orders only. Great effort. Yes it’s not a common bike for the common motorcyclist. Not everyone drives a Dodge Viper, also deposit order built as well.
I wonder how many of these they will sell. I suppose there must be a few rich idiots down there in California who can waste 78 grand on a bike that looks like any other custom that was built from a Sportster in some ones workshop!
You haven’t read the specs. This bike is essentially a race bike with a 124 ci engine. A true American built bike. Yes if you will, buy a Ducati for a quarter of the cost. If I had the money, I would buy it and ride it!
Lets see, $78k for a custom bike (a modified sportster seems to me) or spend $70k on a Ducati Superleggera and have $8 left to visit Italy? simple decision…
I thought I’d seen ugly before, I was wrong.
A totally custom motorcycle is an expression of one person’s ideas. Why would I buy that? Why wouldn’t I build my own custom? Seems strange.
Nothing new here… seen these a thousand times before…

re: “an initial offering price of $78,000”
you’re living in a dream world Neo…! (Morpheus voice)
look, if I didn’t say it somebody else would have.
OK maybe it looks better in person.
Why are the footpegs so far forward on what looks to be a cafe racer?
Noticed that myself. Also that the price needs to be divided by 4 or 5.
high, maybe…..anticipated, by?
they need to be careful using water jets for machining–nano-cavitation caused by the high pressure can cause nuclear transmutation–resulting in radiation poisoning
Maybe that’s why I start feeling sick when I get behind a long line of American V-twins on a two-lane.
Nailed it!
