AMA Racing_010516

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The 14-round 2016 AMA Vintage Dirt Track National Championship Series will kick off with a half-mile event on Saturday, March 5, in Savannah, Ga. Throughout the year, racers will compete for points with hopes of earning a coveted AMA National No. 1 plate in a number of historically correct classes.

“We are excited about our 2016 schedule,” said AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant. “With most of our events being double-headers, it provides our racers with an opportunity to travel once and race twice on the same weekend.”

The first three rounds of the series will run in conjunction with the AMA-sanctioned amateur dirt-track program held during Daytona Bike Week.
