Riding flawlessly all night, Yamaha’s Chad Reed easily captured the 250 supercross main event win this evening in San Diego, California. Arch rival Ricky Carmichael (Honda) crashed while running second early in the race, and quickly remounted to finish third . . . just behind Reed’s teammate David Vuillemin.
In the 125 Western Region series, Kawasaki’s James Stewart again dominated the main event with a huge lead over second place Travis Preston (Honda) at the checkered flag. Suzuki’s Danny Smith finished third.
Reed continues to lead the THQ World Supercross GP, while Carmichael leads the AMA 250 Supercross series by a slim margin (four points over Reed). Stewart now has a sizeable lead in the 125 Western Region series. Take a look at the official THQ World Supercross GP site for additional details and points.
