Race 1 at Laguna Seca was completed earlier today with the factory Kawasakis dominating. Jonathan Rea took the win ahead of teammate Tom Sykes, with Nicky Hayden (Honda) coming home a distant third. Hayden inherited third place after two Ducatis crashed in front of him earlier in the race. Follow this link for complete Race 1 results. Stay turned for a report on Race 2 tomorrow.

I voted for Davies to win. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. Congrats to Hayden for getting 3rd place on a slower bike.
