450 Class Stats

• Win in Style: All of Eli Tomac’s four career 450 Class victories have come by 1-1 moto sweeps.
• A Return to the Top: Tomac gave Monster Energy Kawasaki it’s first 450 Class win since the final round of the 2013 season, 30 races ago.
• Big Breakout: Tomac had led just one lap prior to Southwick, but broke out to lead 19 of the 32 laps completed. On the flip side, Ken Roczen led just eight laps. His lowest laps led in a single moto prior to that was nine.
• Rare Runner-Up: Ken Roczen failed to win a moto for the first time this season, posting a pair of runner-up finishes behind Tomac.
• Back on the Box: Justin Barcia became the seventh different rider to finish on the overall podium in the 450 Class this season, vaulting him from sixth to fourth in the championship standings. He has earned five top fives in the last six motos.
• Rookie on the Rise: Justin Bogle has claimed the last four holeshots, and at Southwick it resulted in his first laps led in the 450 Class as well as the best moto finish of his career in fourth. He’s the seventh different rider to lead a moto this season.
• Success in the Sand: Six of the top 15 riders in the 450 Class standings earned their highest single-event point total of the season at Southwick.
• Showcase of Deep Talent: A total of 100 riders have qualified for a spot on the 40-rider gate in the 450 Class this season.

• Pulling Away: Cooper Webb has turned a once 20-point deficit in the 250 Class standings into a 37-point lead. That’s a 57 point turnaround over the last three rounds, all of which he has won.
• Rough Stretch Continues: Joey Savatgy has an average finish of 12.3 the last three motos. His season average has dropped from 3.3 to 5.2, and his start-to-finish ratio this season is now even at zero.
• Rookie Breaks Through: Austin Forkner earned the first overall podium of his career at Southwick as well as his first moto podium. He’s the seventh different rider this season to stand on the box and the 158th in 250 Class history.
• Showing Speed: Forkner also posted the fastest lap in qualifying for the first time, becoming the sixth different rider in seven races to pace the field.
• Mirroring Martins: Alex and Jeremy Martin have identical start-to-finish ratios through seven rounds. Jeremy’s starting average and finishing average are both one position better than Alex.
