After the Friday’s free practice opening day at Laguna Seca, sawing Leon Camier finishing 13° despite he had taken part in FP2 only, the MV Agusta Reparto Corse 29-years old rider took the track again today, dominating the Superpole1, then qualifying 12th in Superpole2 and getting the 11th place in Race1.
During the qualifying sessions, the squad led by Andrea Quadranti works hard to adjust the setting of the MV Agusta F4 RC machine, allowing the British rider to lead from start to finish the Superpole1, and then qualifying in 4 row after Superpole2.
When the lights turn off, Leon Camier make a good start but he is forced to loose some positions because of some grip problems. During the second half of the race the British rider find a good pace, often close to the first, and quickly moves close to the top10, crossing the finish line in 11th place at + 1.233s from Niccolò Canepa (10th).
With 110 points Camier is currently 8th in Championship Standings and tomorrow the MV Agusta rider will be back on track trying to increase his score in the second and final race of the weekend, scheduled at 14:30 local time.
Leon Camier #2 – I had a really bad feeling in lap1, I felt I have no grip at all, which is strange because in qualifying the setting we made was good. Anyway, as the race got underway I tried to bridge the gap with the first and I managed to pass some riders. We are still 8th in Championship Standing and tomorrow I will do my best to get as many points as possibile in Race2.
