Kevin Windham and his Honda CRF450R ended the nearly two year win streak of Ricky Carmichael in 250cc Outdoor National Motocross competition today at Unadilla, New York. Windham was also the last rider to beat Carmichael before the streak started. Windham won both motos, with Carmichael finishing second in both motos. Tim Ferry (Yamaha) was third overall in the 250 class aboard his YZ450F.
In the 125 class, Kawasaki’s James Stewart won both motos (yet again), with KTM teammates Grant Langston and Ryan Hughes placing second and third overall, respectively.
While Carmichael continues to hold a huge lead in the 250 championship points race, Mike Brown (Kawasaki) has a slim one-point lead over Grant Langston in the 125 class championship race. Five outdoor motocross rounds remain this year.
