Ricky Carmichael had an even easier time winning both motos today at Mt. Morris, than he did at Hangtown a couple of weeks ago. Carmichael is now a perfect four-for-four in motos run this year in the AMA National Motocross series. Finishing second to Carmichael today, and also Honda-mounted, was Kevin Windham, who appeared to return to form after a relatively poor performance (for him) at the Hangtown opener. Windham finished 2/2 on the day, while Yamaha’s Chad Reed finished 3/3, for third overall. Carmichael leads the points race in the 250 class.
In the 125 class, Kawasaki’s Bubba Stewart destroyed the competition by winning both motos with huge leads. Stewart has a perfect four-for-four moto wins in the 125 class so far this year. Finishing second to Stewart was an impressive performance by young Broc Hepler (Suzuki), with 2/2 moto scores, while Mike Brown (Yamaha) finished third overall with 4/3 moto scores. Stewart leads the points in the 125 class.
