Started from the fourth row on the grid, Raffaele De Rosa lost 4 places after the first corners. The Italian rider immediately finds a good pace and start battling out in the Top 10 area. De Rosa keep lapping with times close to the first riders, passing several rivals and getting into the 6th position. When it comes to the last lap De Rosa start a hard battle with Antony West, ending up 7th under the checkered flag.
Ayrton Badovini and his squad are keeping working on the F3 675 machine’s setting, with the Italian closing 15th in scoring-point area, after a race weekend below expectation compared to his abilities.
Jordi Torres – I’m really disappointed because today we had found a good setting with the bike and in the warmup I was able to set a good lap time. In the race, I was riding fast and, after the initial stages, I could set a good rhythm. Unfortunately, the crash of Laverty pulled me out and there was no way to get back to the race. In any case, I’m happy with the development of the bike, I feel that the feeling improves session by session and I cannot wait to get back on track for my home race at Aragon. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Eugine Laverty, I hope he can get well soon.
Raffaele De Rosa – In the third corner of the first lap I have been passed by some riders but from then on I tried to find a good rhythm, passing several riders too. In the warmup, we made some changes and I’m happy to have found a good base with the setting of the bike, which will help us a lot from the next round to Aragon. We must definitely keep working, especially to be more competitive in qualifying, but I’m sure we’ll get there soon.
Ayrton Badovini – Of course, I can not be satisfied with this race and the weekend in general. We made some steps forward in the setting of the bike and this is certainly a positive aspect, but I’m still far from the limit of the bike and I still lack a bit of confidence to be fast in the corner. I am sure we will be able to get closer to the top positions when we will come back to Europe, on the tracks I know better.
