Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati) continued his fine run of form while taking pole position for tomorrow’s Catalunya MotoGP race. Lorenzo’s Ducati teammate Andrea Dovizioso will line-up on the outside of row 1, with Honda’s Marc Marquez between them.
Lorenzo will be looking for his second straight win tomorrow. Take a look here for Q2 qualifying results. Stay tuned for race coverage on MD tomorrow.

Yet another Marquez miracle save. Two weeks ago, his Michelin front tire failed him, in yet another miracle save attempt.
This race is going to be spooky. Block turn Lorenzo and crashing Dovizioso, surrounding Marquez.
When they crash out, Marquez will be the target of a “race direction” inquiry.
I don’t understand the hostility toward Marquez. He has won 4 of the last 5 MotoGP crowns.
I hope this doesn’t sound shallow, but wouldn’t Lorenzo’s face benefit from a razor?
HIs photo always bothers me. So there, I’ve finally said it.
Yep, it sounds shallow. If it really bothers you, tape the race, and only watch when the riders have their helmets on. 🙂
I’ve been mentioning this for years. It doesn’t change, just a disappointing attempt at Zorro, or something. Without it he’d look kinda like…. Tom Cruise if you squint.
Oh great, now I’m going to see Tom Cruise whenever I look at Jorge. Thanks a lot.
I know… I’m on the fence as to whether to go heh heh heh or be actually sorry about this.
..At least he doesn’t have a ridiculous, and douchey soccer haircut..
Rarely do other racers beat Marquez. Marquez usually is his own worse enemy.
True – but the one man who has beaten him is Lorenzo.
Actually, Lorenzo, Dovisioso, Rossi, and Pedrosa all have beat Marquez on even terms. All of the top riders have amazing talents.
Having said that, Marc seems to be a step above the others. Jorge, Vale, and Dani have been operating at “alien” level for many years, but Jorge seems (IMHO) to be the best of the three currently.
Dovi has had a workmanlike career, not really approaching the “Big Four”. He beat Marc fair & square in several races, and seems to think he has joined the aliens, but I’m not convinced.
I believe that Marc and Jorge are the two top riders currently – Marc being able to ride recalcitrant bikes amazingly well – Jorge being incredibly precise, and able to guide development.
I looks more bike related to me. Marquez always has a bike that works well, or he can ride around the most issues. The rest of the teams have struggled with bike setup.
Behold Lorenzo. Remember him? When his bike works, he works. How about that Rossi guy? Oh yeah! He’s been having bike trouble too. Put Marquez on a bike that doesn’t work for him and who is he? See above for an example.
^^^ . What he said. (Delmartion) ^^^
Please beat Marquez. Please beat Marquez. Please beat Marquez.
