We have ridden and photographed many motorcycles over the years here at MD. We have decided to re-publish a collection of past photographs periodically. Consider this the first in a series.
We start by leaving the photographs unidentified, but we will insert captions and links to the original MD stories a few days after posting this. In the meantime, we challenge our readers to identify all of the photos, including manufacturer, model year and model identification. Let us know in the comment section below, and check back in a few days for all of the identifiers.

I loved the pics, liked to review
#1 I actually owned. Worst bike I ever owned. Honda couldn’t sell them. No one wanted it as a trade. Can’t believe Honda made it again with different name. F6B, Fat 6 Bugger
Could you share your experiences?
I own a Goldwing Valkyrie, another bike Honda couldn’t sell. Best bike I’ve ever owned, and other owners love theirs, too. Would like to see the comparison in owner experiences.
I owned the original Valkyrie, great bike! I then rode the new Valkyrie, way, way better bike.!!
Oh this feels so good. Yipee ! Lean on.
I like BMW.
Triumph is better? i suppose/
I like the way you capture the motion of the bikes with the background in a blur.
1-Honda “love seat” On wheels
2-Kawasaki Mini Ninja “a go-go”
3-Indian “Im scouting Sporters”
4-Yamaha “Best damn bike made, sorry about the suspension” (this coming from an FZ09 owner)
5-Honda “lets be BMW”
6-BMW “well if it worked for Ducati”
7-Suzuki “garetal version of the GSXR”
and for those that didn’t get it, this post was all sarcasm….
No, sarcasm would be if you said the opposite of how you felt about them. For instance, “The F6B is the best sportbike ever made.”
Your observations were pretty on target. But I think you meant Geritol in #7.
I think this is a great idea to post pic’s like this. I would like them themed. ADV – Sport – Tour – Wheelies – cornering etc…
I really don’t like yuge, super heavyweight motorcycles. But that F6B is absolutely beyatchin’ in black. If I had the funds, and Big Red updated that model to 2018 specs, I’d be highly tempted.
Have to agree, the Africa Twin image is the best, though all are very good.
They did. They call it a Gold Wing now.

Nice pics. Motorcycle reviews are the best part of MD. I don’t need all the racing. It all looks the same.
All right, I’ll Bite! I’ll take two wheel wonders, for $800
Honda F6B (Flat 6 Bagger) from 2014
Kawasaki Nija 400 (thank you graphics!) from about 2016
Indian Scout, 2013 intro
Yamaha FZ-09 in a hooligan pose, 2014
Honda Africa Twin, from the near mad max future of 2033!
BMW R9T, sweet and clean ride from 2012
and the slightly melted beak of the Suzuki GSX-1000F standard, not quite crotch rocket, 2015
Confident in the bikes, Not so much with the model years…
GREAT photos, background composition, it is always nice!! I still think they should change the name from Motorcycle Daily, to Motorcycle-many-times-a-day-just-in-case-something-new-gets-posted-since-last-time… not as catchy a title, but more literal!!
Thanks for the game!
Lazy. But you deserve a few freebies. 🙂 Kinda like scanning over memories served in my occasional FB stream. Like it. Errr…You could just do prior years on the anniversary, too.
‘Bout time, Dirck. We need a break from the squidly racer junk.
This site always has some great photos
I call it motorcycle eye candy
Best one on the page has to be the Africa Twin, with the mountains in the background… Loves me some mountains!!
Have to agree, stunning photo.
