Veteran superbike racer Troy Corser (Suzuki) dominated the competition in race one of this weekend’s World Superbike Championship double-header at Phillip Island, Australia. Corser crossed the line more than 8 seconds ahead of Alstare Suzuki teammate Yukio Kagayama. Chris Vermeulen (Honda) was third, another 5 seconds behind Kagayama.
The Suzuki riders who stood atop the podium today also dominate the championship points standings, with Corser leading at 66 points while Kagayama sits only one point behind with 65.
