Suzuki’s Ben Spies came back to win the second half of the Barber Motorsports AMA Superbike double-header today, sweeping the entire weekend (Spies had pole position, and both race wins). The race was restarted with eight laps remaining following a red flag. This allowed Spies teammate Mat Mladin to work his way into third place after a crash earlier in the race put him at the back of the field. Mladin was narrowly beaten to the line by Honda’s Miguel Duhamel.
Spies now leads the championship by eight points over Mladin. For additional details, results and points, visit the official AMA Superbike site here
