Race One of back-to-back superbike races this weekend at Virginia International Raceway was won by Mat Mladin (Suzuki) who beat second place teammate Ben Spies by a healthy margin. Neal Hodgson (Ducati) finished third. Spies is nursing a broken bone in his right hand.
