Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael continued to roll through the motocross competition today at Steel City with perfect 1/1 finishes. Coming in second behind Carmichael was Kawasaki’s James Stewart (2/2), while Kevin Windham (Honda) finished third overall (4/3). Carmichael has already clinched the 2006 AMA Motocross title.
In the Motocross Lites competition today, Suzuki’s Broc Hepler blew the competition away with perfect 1/1 moto scores, while championship points leader Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) finished second overall (3/2) and Josh Grant (Honda) finished third overall (2/3). Villopoto stretches his points lead in the title chase to 29 over Mike Alessi, who finished 5th overall on the day.
