James Stewart (Kawasaki) and Chad Reed (Yamaha) fought a close battle the entire Supercross main event this evening in Anaheim, California. After each rider aggressively passed the other to take the lead earlier in the race, Stewart emerged with a slim victory over Reed, while Tim Ferry (Kawasaki) finished third. Stewart has a sizeable points lead over Reed in the championship series.
In the Western Region Supercross Lites main event, Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) took another convincing win. Finishing a distant second was Josh Grant (Honda), with Jason Lawrence (Yamaha) third. Villopoto has a huge points lead in the series.
