Kawasaki’s James Stewart rode an incredible race in Indianapolis this evening while coming from last place exiting the first corner to win the race ahead of Yamaha’s Chad Reed. Stewart closed on Reed quickly, but Reed and Stewart battled closely over the final few laps with Stewart taking the win and Reed finishing second. Tim Ferry (Kawasaki) finished third. Stewart pads his already significant points lead in the championship series.
In the Eastern Region Lites main event, Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey came out ahead in a close battle with Ben Townley (Kawasaki) who finished second. Branden Jesseman (Yamaha) finished third. Points leader Ryan Morais (Yamaha) finished fourth.
