Finally on a MotoGP track he knows well, Ben Spies (Yamaha) was third quickest at Losail today after six hours of testing… only Rossi and Stoner recorded faster lap times. Spies is comfortable at Losail, having taken pole position and winning both races at last year’s WSB Qatar round.
Indeed, after the first five hours of testing today, only Stoner was quicker than Spies (by less than a tenth of a second), while Rossi leapfrogged both riders in the last half hour. Losail testing continues tomorrow.
