American Ben Spies (Yamaha) took the WSB championship lead today in Germany by finishing first and second in the two races. Finishing second and third in Race 1 were Noriyuki Haga (Ducati) and Carlos Checa (Honda). Jonathan Rea (Honda) won the second race with Checa again finishing third.
After crashing out of Race 2, Haga handed Spies an 18 point lead in the championship points series. For additional details, results and points, visit the official WSB site here
