A tricky MotoGP race at Le Mans featuring a track that was both wet and dry at various times ended with Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo taking an impressive win over Kawasaki-mounted Marco Melandri in second and Dani Pedrosa (Honda) in third. Defending champion Valentino Rossi crashed in a wet corner and was then penalized for speeding in the pits after changing bikes. He finished outside the points in 16th position.
Lorenzo leads the championship by one point over Stoner and Rossi. For additional details, results and points, visit the official MotoGP site here.
