Reed Crowned King of Bercy

I won’t explain the complicated scoring system at Bercy or even tell you exactly how many races are run over the three nights. It should suffice that Chad Reed (Yamaha) dominated the event completely (losing only one race out of well over a dozen on the weekend). Yamaha had quite a weekend when Reed not only won, but Grant Langston finished second overall. Third overall was Andrew Short (Honda).

In the team competition, the United States also won handily over France and the team made up of the remainder of the World’s supercross participants.

Given his performance at the US Open and now at Bercy, Chad Reed clearly has the measure of his competition next year in the AMA Supercross series with one exception. That is James Stewart. If Reed has any advantage, it relates to the fact that he is racing, while Stewart is not. The AMA series opens in January.
