Round one of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series was held on a slippery, rutted track in Anaheim, California this evening. Chad Reed (Yamaha) took the win in the Supercross class after James Stewart (Kawasaki) crashed in the first corner and fought his way to finish second, more than 20 seconds behind Reed. Finishing third was Stewart’s teammate Tim Ferry.
In the Supercross Lites main event Ryan Dungey (Suzuki) took the win over Jason Lawrence (Yamaha) in second place, and Justin Brayton (KTM) in third.
The series continues next weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. For additional details, results and points, visit the official AMA Supercross site here.
