Title contenders James Stewart (Yamaha) and Chad Reed (Suzuki) had an interesting, and difficult, race in Seattle last evening. Both riders encountered obstacles during the first lap, with Reed ending up on the ground. The race was won by Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, with Stewart eventually working his way up to finish second. Reed wasn’t so lucky, ending the evening in seventh place, and 5 points behind Stewart in the championship with two races remaining. The final spot on the podium last night went to Honda’s Davi Millsaps.
In the Western Region Lites main event, Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey took the win ahead of Ryan Morais (Kawasaki) and third place Trey Canard (Honda). With a single race remaining in the Western Region series, Dungey has a 9 point lead.
