Two AMA Superbike races were held at Road Atlanta this weekend, with Suzuki sweeping the podium in both events. On Saturday, Mat Mladin led home teammates Ben Spies and Tommy Hayden, while during Sunday’s event, Spies made it to the line first ahead of Mladin in second place and Hayden in third place.
Spies leads the series going into the final round at Laguna Seca. Given teammate Mladin’s earlier disqualification from two race wins, Spies has actually clinched this year’s title pending the results of an appeal by Mladin.
