Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) not only won today’s MotoGP event at Misano, he took a giant step towards securing the championship in a race where rival, and defending champion, Casey Stoner (Ducati) crashed and scored no points. Finishing second today was Rossi’s teammate Jorge Lorenzo, while Toni Elias (Ducati) finished third.
