Anaheim 1 Supercross Results

After all hell broke loose on lap 6 (more about that later), Josh Grant (Yamaha) took the main event victory in Anaheim last night . . . his first win ever in the AMA Supercross class. Finishing second and third, respectively, were Andrew Short (Honda) and Chad Reed (Suzuki). Earlier in the main event, after swapping the lead more than once, Reed and James Stewart (Yamaha) collided with Stewart suffering an apparent concussion. While Reed quickly re-entered the race, Stewart was unable to start his bike and recorded a DNF.

In the Western Region Lites main event, Kawasaki took the top two spots with Jake Weimer finishing ahead to teammate Ryan Morais. Recovering from a poor start, Ryan Dungey (Suzuki) finished third.

The series continues next weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. For additional details, results and points, visit the official AMA Supercross site here.
